My Journey
I discovered yoga in high school at my local YMCA while recovering from the umpteenth soccer injury. Initially drawn to the physical aspects of yoga, I soon realized this practice’s impacts on the emotional body and psyche. While studying psychology at the University of Wyoming, I attended The Class That Changed Everything: a candlelit Yin/Yang session on a cold October night. The practice felt like warm, snug place where my mind could finally rest. That pivotal experience propelled me forward, and by the following May, I earned my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification from the same studio

Over the next decade, I taught hundreds of hours of yoga across four states, leading events, festivals, workshops, retreats, and studio sessions. Yet, the more subtle aspects of the practice continued to captivate me. I immersed myself in continuing education, exploring biopsychology, yoga for anxiety, depression, and trauma, neuroplasticity, consciousness and the psyche, and yoga for mental health.
In 2019, I completed a 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training certification with Selena Garefino, where I deepened my knowledge (and passion) for yoga energetics, functional anatomy, Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, and classical yoga. It was during this study that I was introduced to Katonah Yoga®—a syncretic Hatha yoga practice rooted in Taoist theory, geometry, metaphor, and imagination. This practice has become the cornerstone of my teaching and personal practice ever since.

“To educate is the practice of freedom” - bell hooks
Today, I stand before you as both a teacher and a lifelong student—a proud work in progress. My journey as an educator is deeply inspired by bell hooks’ liberatory pedagogy, which emphasizes teaching as an act of freedom and empowerment. This philosophy shapes how I approach yoga: as a means to create space for personal exploration, growth, and healing.
Even as I guide others, I continue to learn. I believe that the external aspects of yoga—the poses, breathwork, and sequences—are tools to guide you inward. My role is to create the conditions for meaningful, personal insights that extend beyond the mat and into your daily life.

Wisdom Rooted in Nature’s Patterns
Nature moves in inherent patterns, each a reflection of its innate intelligence and order. These patterns reveal a universal blueprint—an interconnected wisdom that guides all living things, including us.
Throughout my offerings, you’ll find a unique emphasis on the rhythms of nature and cycles of the season. Whether we aim to ground in the stillness of winter, the vibrant growth of spring, the expansive warmth of summer, or the reflective letting go of fall, my intention is to help you connect with these natural rhythms and find harmony within yourself.
In my classes, there is space for all of you—your mind, body, and spirit. I look forward to sharing a practice that is so much more than physical movement. Together, we’ll explore yoga as a pathway to transformation, self-discovery, and the freedom to step into your fullest potential.
